Overview
GCGI's primary business focus is the acquisition, building, ownership and management/operation of tower sites specifically developed for federal, state, and local government wireless systems. GCGI competes for large government contracts to build and operate communications towers.
GCGI was founded by David J. Grain, the former President of Global Signal, Inc. (NYSE - GSL), one of the largest independent wireless communications tower companies in the United States. In January of 2007 Global Signal was acquired by Crown Castle International (NYSE - CCI) for $5.7 billion.
Why GCGI?
- Proven success. Our team includes executives from the tower industry specializing in the fields of engineering, finance, government contracts, acquisitions, management information systems, construction, and site development.
- Small business and a certified minority business enterprise. GCGI can assist prime contractors in meeting their goals and requirements for utilizing such companies.
- Cost-effective solutions. We take on the responsibility of building, owning, operating, and financing tower sites. This allows the agency to focus its attention on its day-to-day operations.
